Pre-Start Health and Safety Review

In Ontario, in any case of adding, modification or installation of new or existing structure, apparatus, construction or protective element, a Pre-Start Health and Safety Review (Known also as PSR, PHSR or PSHSR) is required by the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Such a review is preferably done by a Professional Engineer and its purpose is to ensure compliance with the applicable provisions of the Regulation for Industrial Establishments. The service includes:

A Pre-Start Health and Safety Review report, references to numerous codes, standards and acts required by the Ministry of Labour. Many of those documents are updated and changed occasionally. Reviewing the facility by an external, third party Professional Engineer, who familiar with the different acts, regulations, codes and standards, addresses not only the law requirements, but also reduces the probability of potential accidents and may lowers the insurance presume as well.
